Position Purpose:

Support and manage projects and product development initiatives; conduct market research and analysis; assist in the development of product and market strategy as well as the release of Product Engineering documents.

Essential Functions*:

  • Manage and support Standing Product (SPS), support New Product Development (SPPD) processes and cost reduction projects to completion driving them towards key metrics.
  • Facilitate and lead team meetings for SPS projects, including communicating goals, assigning action items and reporting status to team members.
  • Participate in and support the new product development and release process, including the routing and verification of projects from Product Engineering.
  • Provide consistent intra-company communication support for project management between Sales, Technical Service, Customer Service, and Engineering activities. Communicate with the plants and other cross functional team members as needed.
  • Conduct market research and analysis in support of business planning activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor movement of product development activities throughout the organization to ensure that program deliverables and due dates are maintained.
  • Assist in development of all marketing and technical tools to support product launch initiatives (i.e. literature, videos, training programs, trade show models). Attend industry trade shows as required.
  • Participate in the Product Engineering release process in GPS, including deriving and scheduling CN's in GPS, and the prioritization and coordination of releases to other departments.
  • Coordinate and/or participate in product installations or component trials at the OE and in the field in support of program development and product launch activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.


  • Education and Training
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related educational field or work experience
    Minimum Qualifications
    • 3-5 years of Product Management and/or Engineering experience, preferably in transportation or transportation-related industry or engineered-products industry
    • Mechanical aptitude with high technical competency
    • Computer literate - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Teamcenter
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills

    Physical Demands
    • Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time
    • Some physical labor may be required when working in field with customers
    • Light to moderate travel

    • Office setting.
