Alteryx is searching for a Product Strategy Analyst. This position is remote-friendly.

Position Overview:

We're looking for a Product Strategy Analyst to drive strategy and execution across Alteryx's in-market and next-generation products. You will play a critical role in identifying new opportunities, assessing our product performance, and aiding in the development of our long-term strategic plans for future product lines. This role is distinguished from a Product Manager (PM), though the two positions will collaborate closely. While the PM focuses on the market success of specific products, the Product Strategy Analyst takes a broader perspective, leveraging research and data analytics to guide the company's overall product strategy.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on both company performance and the competitive landscape to identify unmet needs and market opportunities. Utilize data analytics tools to analyze user interactions, product performance, and market trends. Analyze marketplace, customers, prospects, non-customers, and competitors to determine the right features to bring to market and overall feature prioritization.
  
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans that cover various aspects of the company's products, with a focus on identifying and supporting strategic partnerships. Assist in planning for product lifecycle management and potential market changes that could impact the company's product strategy. Understand all aspects of the product area and how they relate to the overall portfolio goals. Consider long-term vision by developing solutions that anticipate and enable Alteryx to address current and future needs.
  
• Competitive Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market dynamics. Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive analysis to inform product positioning and strategic decisions.
  
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, development, sales, and marketing to ensure alignment on product strategy and execution. Present findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and executive leadership. Understand and advocate for the product area feature teams' mission. Communicate directly with customers for feedback, discovery sessions, troubleshooting, and assistance. Educate customers and internal support teams on product features through various channels including direct communication, webinars, and live events. Communicate internally and externally in an open, honest, and respectful way.
  
• Corporate Development: Support corporate development initiatives by identifying potential business partnerships and acquisition opportunities. Conduct financial and strategic assessments to evaluate the viability of these opportunities.

• Data Savvy: Proficient in using data to uncover insights and inform strategic decisions. Experience with data analytics tools and methodologies is essential.
  
• Superb Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to various stakeholders, including executives and cross-functional teams. Excellent presentation and writing skills are crucial.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA) a plus
  
• 2-4 years of experience in product management, consulting, product strategy, corporate development, data analytics, or a related role.
  
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  
• Basic understanding of corporate development, including mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
  
• Proficiency with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) and market research techniques.
  
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive and adaptable approach.
  
• Alteryx experience strongly preferred as well as expertise in at least one of the following markets: Data Management, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Data Science.
  
• Competitive analysis experience is not a prerequisite but will be considered a strong plus.
  

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.

The salary range for this role in the United States is $110,325 - $139,400.

In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
