Overview:

Our Customer Service team represents the Benjamin Moore brand by providing excellent customer service while developing relationships with customers. You’ll get to know our brand inside and out and make sure that the voice of the customer is heard throughout the company. The ideal candidate will be a true “people person.” If you're the type of person who enjoys finding creative ways to resolve problems and wants to grow with a company, then this is where you belong.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibits flexibility and creativity to meet customer experience expectations
  • Comfortable pivoting to handle inquiries from our B2B customers, B2C customers, and internal customers
  • Obtain and evaluate relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints and either resolve customer issues or properly escalate
  • Work with internal teams to assist in escalations, assigning opportunities/prospects, communicating technical inquiries & complaints to drive continuous improvement
  • Responsible for delivering consistently excellent customer service over the phone and in writing
  • Become proficient with company policies and Marketing programs around promotions, freight policy, product information
  • Knowledge of Paints and Coatings Industry to educate our customers, convert competitive specifications, and assist with technical inquiries
  • Ability to certify and learn our SAP ERP system
  • Adept at navigating systems, procedures, and other resources to provide accurate and timely resolution to customer inquiries, and documenting problem resolution
  • Can prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic office environment
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 2-years sales, retail, or customer service experience with previous experience in a paint store, big box retail paint counter, or paint industry
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks
  • Good organizational skills; detail oriented; self-starter
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, technical instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows & MS Office Suite required
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task with keyboarding and phone required
  • SAP and CRM knowledge preferred.
