RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in need of a Principal BI Visualization Analyst in Santa Monica, CA.Summary:As a Principal BI Visualization Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding the business requirements, prepare data for analysis and visualization, from consulting with data engineering to understand the flow of data, through our ELT process modeling our data warehouse, to the BI tools that our business teams use to gain insights. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand their needs, plan, and execute changes to our data models, and evangelize the effective use of that data. Principal BI Visualization Analyst will bring software engineering best practices to production and maintenance of analytics code and bring an engineering mindset to discussions on how data is modeled from its source to its use in the data warehouse as business data & reporting data. You are analytic and bring structure in your work, you champion consistency and predictability and you are self-driven and motivated. You enjoy making a data warehouse clean and usable. The Principal BI Visualization Analyst will guide others in the understanding of the data. You are naturally able to collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, software engineers as well as product & business people. You are an expert at SQL and can use Python to automate your analytics work. REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or closely related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of analytics experience with Tableau mastery, BI Visualization, analytics, strong SQL, query optimization and data engineering experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of recent hands-on experience in Tableau visualization, user administration, tool administration
• 1+ years of experience of using DBT in production cloud data warehouse environment, Snowflake or Big Query preferred
• Hands-on experience with data model development and reporting in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Data Studio, DOMO, and familiar with spreadsheets (Excel, Sheets)
• Experience in Tableau tool administration is a huge plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with strong business judgement and an ability to present analysis in a clear and compelling manner
• Excellent SQL knowledge and hands-on experience with the ability to create efficient data models (applied to data warehousing in particular)
• Proactive mind set with a strong sense of ownership and delivery
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to clearly present ideas, concepts, and solutions
• Quick learner both in terms of new technical skills and acquiring domain knowledge
• Strong understanding of data warehouse, relational and columnar databases
• Ability to handle multiple priorities at the same time
