JOB SUMMARY

 

The Center for mHealth and Social Media (CHASM) at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a full-time post-doctoral fellowship lasting 2 years, under the mentorship of Dr. Sherry Pagoto. The position will begin in August 2022. Candidates will play various roles on NIH-funded randomized trials including data management, data analyses, behavioral intervention delivery, online intervention content development, manuscript preparation, assistance with grant application preparation, and mentoring of students, among other duties. Candidates will also be highly encouraged to prepare and submit an NIH "K" Career Development Award application and will receive close mentorship throughout the process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in clinical, social, or health psychology, public health, or related field

Strong analytical and statistical skills

Experience with behavioral science research 

Experience working with diverse populations by race/ethnicity and/or LGBTQI

Experience working in women's studies and/or women's health 

Strong written communication skills

Strong oral communication skills

Excellent organizational skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Interest in building a program of research on any of the following health topics: obesity, vaccine hesitancy, cancer prevention, health misinformation

Experience with SPSS statistical software programs 

Experience in manuscript writing 

Ability to work independently

Excellent interpersonal skills

Experience working on multidisciplinary diverse research teams

APPOINTMENT TERMS

 

This is a full-time, annually renewable position.
