Plant Manager

Location: Itta Bena, MS
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Plant Manager for a large meat / seafood production facility in western Mississippi.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Oversee employees, production, efficiency, that insures the plant is running safely and efficiently.
• Manages production scheduling function that facilitates optimal use platform of product and operational plant efficiency.
• Delivers clear and concise communication to all department supervisors and employees.
• Stays situationally aware of plant operations and has keen problem solving abilities.
• Seeks to find long term resolutions for ongoing or problematic operational issues
• Works to develop best time management practices for supervisors and management support Teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• B. S. in Business Management, Ag. or Meat Science
• 5 years minimum in meat or seafood processing - seafood heavily preferred
• 5+ years mid to upper level management responsibility within food manufacturing
• Understanding of HACCP, USDA, SQF & GMP's
