Ricks Center for Gifted Children at the University of Denver is an exemplary school serving the needs of gifted children since 1984. We provide nationally recognized gifted education to approximately 250 students ranging from three years of age through eighth grade, who demonstrate exceptional, differentiated abilities and learning needs. Located on the campus of the University of Denver, the Ricks Center offers a progressive model of education focused on developing the intellectual, social, emotional, creative and physical needs of the gifted child. The Ricks Center for Gifted Children at the University of Denver invites applications for a part-time Latin Teacher. We desire a candidate who is adept at working with a diverse group of gifted students ranging from preschool through eighth grade. This position requires a dynamic individual who approaches Latin in a creative and engaging manner.
This is a non-benefited, part-time position that can't exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
- Teach students from sixth through eighth grade in a specialist model.
- Develop curriculum.
- Assess and document student progress.
- Support the school mission through active involvement in the school community.
- Serve on curricular committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Latin or related field.
- Valid teaching certificate/license, special license, or licensable.
- Graduate hours in education of the gifted.
- Experience teaching gifted children.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00.
