OPERATOR II - KILN DEPARTMENT
PAY: $16.84 per hour + $.50 night shift differential
SHIFT: 6pm to 6am
1st WEEK: Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday (36 hours)
2nd WEEK: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday (48 hours
Monitors movement of tile through the kiln firing process.
- Monitors tile entering and exiting the kiln to ensure process is operating efficiently.
- Inspects tile for defects.
- Records temperature of kiln every hour during shift.
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Follows standard operating procedures.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
High school diploma or equivalent experience. 1 or more years previous manufacturing/production experience. Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English.
