Job Description

Overview

The Security Officer maintains a safe, secure, and peaceful environment. This position guards, patrols, or monitors premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. This position is an entry-level, unarmed security position.

Qualifications/Education/Licensure:

High school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills. Current Virginia State driver's license. This position requires a successful completion "pass" of a job function match test. The test uses standardized methodology to avoid unsafe situations by identifying mismatches between the physical requirements of the job and physical capabilities of the prospective job candidate. Become a Notary Public through the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Virginia within sixty days of hire. Successful completion of a two-day educational program for Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within three months of hire
