POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for overall effectiveness of support staff functions within designated region. Developing and implementing consistent procedures, and developing and supporting office supervisors, and partnering with all department lines for efficient and appropriate client care. This position can be located in any of our western region dental office as space allows (Clinton, Osceola, El Dorado Springs, Nevada, Butler & Raymore).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Interview, select and develop Office Supervisors
• Assist with interviewing, selection and development of assigned staff
• Provide direct training and/or oversight and confirmation of training to Office Supervisors and CRS’s for all office procedures and application software systems
• Assist with staff development and ensure consistent support staff processes across assigned service areas
• Review designated office data reports and seek to improve performance as needed or directed
• Perform regular review and audit of subordinate staff documentation, processes and data entry
• Provide support to Senior Director of Regional Support Services on all office developments as well as operational and staff issues
• Attend all required meetings as determined by supervisor
• Coordinate with Senior Director of Regional Support Services to provide aid with resolution of problems and escalated or difficult issues regarding patient or staff complaints
• Work with departmental leadership to ensure a professional and effective working environment
• Provide effective communication to assigned staff related to changes in current procedures
• Ensure that all assigned staff perform job duties in accordance with Compass Health’s customer service philosophy
• Other duties as required

Dental Specific Duties:
• Provide administration and management of all dental operations, maintain coordination of dental services and ensure effective communication among departments
• Oversight and coordination of dental scheduler
• Quality assurance of dental services to ensure that policies and procedures are responsive to client input.
• Document and report to Sr. Director of Dental Operations any medication errors and/or negative patient experiences
• Coordinate with Sr. Director of Dental Operations to maximize program performance productivity.
• Ensures accurate fiscal responsibility for all financial transactions, e.g. patient collections, daily deposits, reconcile daily receipts/petty cash, etc.
• Function as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Keep informed of, and communicate any changes to Medicare, Medicaid, and any Private Insurance Carriers regarding covered services and pre-auth processes as they relate to provision of services and quality patient care
• Provide Sr. Director of Dental Operations/Sr. Director of Regional Support Services with reports and training needs as appropriate

QUALIFICATION(S): EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• 1-3 years working in a dental environment required, with front office and back office experience preferred
• 1-year supervisory experience preferred
