Non-Freight-PAX Supervisor- CT & IL

Coordinates and follows up on activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Supports Senior Supervisor in implementing company programs.
Schedule/Coordinates staffing to meet flight schedule
Works directly with Ramp Agents to execute action plans to operational and organizational objectives.
Works directly with Ramp Agents to ensure everyone is consistent in practicing safety-conscious behaviors.
Assigns Ramp Agents specific flights to ensure on-time departures.
Manage employee hours (straight and overtime)
Ensure safety precautions are taken at all times and  that employees are trained and current in their knowledge of the equipment they use
Hold daily safety briefings with the crew (5 minutes at the beginning of the shift)
Complete daily flight logs, incident/accident reports, and other documentation as required
Gain operational certification on Ground Support Equipment
Assigns employee breaks.
Other duties as assigned.

Direct supervision of a department involving responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods and personnel. Directly supervises 10 employees in Passenger Services. Responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring of employees; planning, assigning, scheduling, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

High School diploma or GED; and over one year up to and including three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
ADP and EzLabor Payroll systems
MS Outlook Communication Management software
MS Excel Spreadsheet software
MS Word Word Processing software
Internet Usage and PC and/or MAC and Windows Usage experience

Valid State Driver’s License

Familiarity with OSHA requirements
Data entry skills
Strong verbal and written skills
Leadership skills

May occasionally be asked to run local errands.
Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to working in high places; fumes/airborne particles; toxic/caustic chemicals; regularly exposed working near moving parts; and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
