Job Summary

Manages, motivates, and leads a diverse team of managers, supervisors and/or professional staff responsible for strategic sourcing of goods and services from inception (supplier selection) to post award management across all lines of business including Operations, Engineering, and Corporate functions to ensure compliance with Supply Chain standards and policies to minimize risk and cost exposure. Implements the tiered sourcing strategy that aligns with business objectives, business strategy, and industry trends. Establishes and manages all strategic purchasing processes and procedures.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Lead cross-functional team members responsible for strategic sourcing of goods and services including construction, engineering, third-party contractor service providers, commodities, MRO and industrial supplies, third-party hauling and specialized transportation services, rotating and mechanical equipment, and corporate services
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to establish priorities, communicate a strategy to a diverse internal customer base and manage progress to achieve planned outcomes
  • Performs strategic sourcing functions including contract strategy development, issuance of contract RFP's, RFI's and RFQ's, supplier proposal analysis, negotiations, awards and implementations
  • Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as Operations, Purchasing and Logistics and outside suppliers
  • Controls resources and policy formation and develops departmental plans, including business, production, and/or organizational priorities
  • Coordinates strategies with Supply Chain Operations and Procurement teams and communicates budgeting and forecasting strategies and pricing with Operational Finance team
  • Collaborates with Operations Finance and business leaders around annual operating plans and strategies
  • Directs preferred vendor strategies with business users and on-going management of supplier relationships
  • Establishes and maintains strategic supplier relationships and procurement strategies, leads negotiations of agreements with key suppliers, and develops and manages business reviews (QBR's) for suppliers
  • Gathers feedback from the business stakeholders on the implementation/effectiveness of Supply Chain strategies and adjust the strategy as necessary (and/or reinforces the required behaviors from stakeholders)
  • Regularly engages with business leaders on strategy and execution including communicating significant business developments as needed
  • Performs other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or a similar degree field
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience is required although employees typically have 12-15 years; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationshipsto negotiate and influence critical decisions
  • Ability to build and leverage strong relationships and networks both within and outside the organization and to effectively use personal influence skills to persuade others and gain support
  • Proven proficiency with contracts, negotiations, and structuring agreements
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience working with technology suite of PeopleSoft, SCOUT, Alteryx, Transcepta preferred
Special Demands

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machineor file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range

The salary range for this job is \$97,200- \$160,400
