Material Handler Position Summary

Material Handlers are responsible for handling all raw material including inspecting, storing, issuing, and staging. The responsibilities also include processing of material returns, and inventory control.

Shifts Available:

  • 8th: 6:30am-7pm Mon-Wed, every other Sunday
Responsibilities

Material Handler Duties and Responsibilities
  • Issuing and staging of material for production
  • Mix, blend, dry and color raw materials in accordance with bill of material
  • Providing material and paperwork to production
  • Assemble and disassemble drying equipment for material change overs
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness of material during production runs
  • Maintaining inventory control
  • Read and complies with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists
  • Enter production information into the ERP system on a timely basis
  • Accurately records and reports hours worked
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S) to include workstations, equipment, walkways, and locker rooms
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Understand and complies with the Cretex professional competencies, company policies, and employee manual
  • Adhere to all safety policies; includes wearing personal protective equipment when required
  • Support and complies with the company's Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned
Qualifications

Material Handler Requirements
  • Knowledge of machinery and equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues
  • Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of basic math concepts and skills
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions, standard operating procedures, and training documents
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction from the area manager
  • Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required

Material Handler Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Forklift experience/training
