JOB DESCRIPTION

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Rust-Oleum Corporation is a worldwide leader in protective paints and coatings for both home and industry. We offer a wide product range including decorative fashion paints, durable industrial roof repair coatings and, of course, the famous rust-fighting formula that started it all.

The primary result expected from the Material Control Coordinator will be to maintain inventory accuracy by monitoring SAP transactions and finding and eliminating root causes for errors by coordinating efforts to measure inventory accuracy and to lead teams in determining the causes of inventory inaccuracies. The material control coordinator will also assist the Inventory Supervisor and Material Manager in developing policies and procedures that will eliminate the root causes of inventory inaccuracies

Tasks PROFILE:

Typical tasks for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Coordinate/perform Cycle counts on raw materials/Components, labels...etc. using ABC Analysis
  • Document quantity, quality, type, weight, test result data, and value of materials or products, in order to maintain shipping, receiving, and production records and files.
  • Receive and store labels, stage labels, return labels
  • Audit process orders
  • Clear COGI's
  • Work with auditors as needed during formal audits
  • Confirmation of Process orders as needed
  • Provide back up to front desk as needed
  • Compare product labels, tags, or tickets, shipping manifests, purchase orders, and bills of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents, quality specifications, and/or weights.
  • Review cycle count variances for root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders Ensures accurate material transfer transactions to plant
QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE
  • English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
