Your Role:
The Manufacturing Supervisor will organize and direct the work of technicians involved in production and packaging of related products. Initiate and lead process improvements within assigned areas including but not limited to manufacturing design, development, test, and product change activities.
Specific job duties include:
- Arrange workload as directed by production requirements
- Prepare purchase requisitions
- Supervise the training of technicians in the proper handling and manufacturing procedures and techniques
- Administer company personnel policies and procedures
- Maintain and implement safe laboratory procedures
- Maintain a favorable company image to all employees and customers
- Maintain accurate production records regarding materials, timing, and packaging
- Ability to initiate, lead and document process improvement activities
Who you are:Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, or other Life Science disciplineOR Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.
- 2 + years of manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering experience in chemical, food, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively express ideas using verbal and written communications
- Thorough knowledge of Supelco products and processes
- Ability to supervise the work of others
- Familiarity with lab equipment
- Working knowledge of safe laboratory procedures
- Knowledge of process improvement principle
