A Day in the Life

The Managing (Anchor) Partner is a strategic business thinker and team builder. Someone who is highly competitive with a servant leader's heart.

Leading through individual production, the Managing Partner is the beacon of success by identifying market trends, developing client relationships, attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, coaching, counseling, and teaching.

  • Adept financial manager responsible for ensuring a realistic positive P&L, cash flow statement, and balance sheet based on the needs of the organization and individual location for both short-term and long-term viability.
  • Set example for all in the office with pace and intensity in driving complex, high-value solutions to clients.
  • Sell and promote all lines of business (accounting, finance, staffing, technology) by attracting new clients and consultants as well as building ongoing relationships to maintain base.
  • Attract, develop and train; retain and motivate sales and recruiting talent.
  • Work with team members to set realistic expectations, coach, and motivate.
  • Identify line of business leadership; giving individuals the tools and support to lead their teams.
  • Foster brand identity in local markets through social media, events, and public relations congruent with Vaco global marketing.
  • Contribute to Vaco global by promoting cross-location and functional sharing of Vaco best practices.
  • Develop succession for key leadership roles including but not limited to Anchor Partner and Line of Business leaders.

Technical Skills:
  • Must have a working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience with Bullhorn preferred.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years experience with a staffing and/or consulting company, contract or permanent placement sales with progressive supervision and fiduciary responsibility.
  • History of success leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business/accounting/finance/audit/IT preferred.
  • MBA; CPA designation a plus.

Travel Requirements:

Approximately 20% of work time traveling.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $90,000 - $120,000. An applicant may also be eligible to participate in certain incentive compensation programs based on achieving certain performance targets set forth each year and subject to the incentive compensation plan's terms and conditions.] The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
