Vertiv is hiring a Manager, Project Management Office in Westerville, Ohio. The Vertiv America's Project Management Office (PMO) team's primary mission is to standardize the execution of a project and portfolio to maintain and/or increase productivity, consistency, and repeatability exceeding our internal and external customer's expectations. It offers guidance to projects, develops metrics on the practice of project management and its execution, and ensures the appropriate control plans are in place to monitor execution of the overall portfolio. Additionally, the PMO supports day to day operations as agreed to by the leadership team in order to support the primary mission.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop tools, process, training and governance to ensure projects are in control
a. Develop the Smartsheet tool (or other pertinent tools) to allow fit for purpose
b. Develop the processes around all of the motions of project execution.
i. Develop end to end process map of project life cycle
ii. Improve and develop automated workflows to gain efficiency in processes
c. Develop training program to ensure project execution team understand how to utilize the tools & processes
d. Develop governance method to ensure projects/processes are in control
2. Manage PMO project managers day to day activities
a. Lead the PMO team in providing project admin support
3. Lead the strategic efforts to provide a roadmap for the broader project Execution group
4. Engage and develop other Vertiv functional groups to ensure deliverables are being met
5. Develop and track metrics on project performance to ensure projects are in control
6. Integrate other project groups into one cohesive process, where it makes sense
7. Represent the Projects org in the ISO Certification effort
8. Represent the Projects org in the company wide Oracle implementation project
