JOB OVERVIEW

Walmart Connect (WMC) is looking for an experienced integrated marketing professional with either an ad sales, digital media, performance, customer and shopper marketing, retail marketing or Solutions background. This position will partner with and service the Sales organization to drive ad revenue, help clients build brand awareness and consideration, engage with Walmart consumers, convert Walmart consumers to shoppers, help transform relationships with suppliers and brand owners from transactional into co-creating partnerships, and provide measurable results for our clients.

This complex, cross-functional role will be responsible for development and management of category and client-led integrated campaigns across the Walmart omni-channel ecosystem. This position will directly support Walmart's advertising sales team and partner with enterprise marketing, retailtainment, site experience and category activation teams to conceptualize and create unique, custom and high-impact marketing solutions for clients.

This position sits under WMC Marketing and reports to the Director of Client Solutions.

The ideal candidate has a proactive and collaborative approach, has experience servicing a sales organization through persuasive selling story telling business recommendations that are financially viable and sales driven, anchored in sound business strategies, and in category development initiatives and opportunities that unlock incremental sales; possesses strong people skills driving own projects to execution, willing to roll up their sleeves to figure out process and solve challenges in creative and structured ways. They are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and growing environment.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of custom advertising initiatives for Walmart Connect Clients
  • Collaborate and establish links between Walmart Connect and Walmart Enterprise Marketing, ensuring consistency between Walmart's supplier advertising initiatives and Walmart's own customer messaging
  • Manage the cross-functional connection points, processes and planning cycles between Walmart marketing, creative, cross-category solutions, seasonal, site experience and product teams
  • Super-serve and partner with sales, client brand strategy and media planning to understand cross-category and seasonal integration opportunities to bring to market (and how to bring them to market)
  • Actively facilitate and participate in brainstorming and working sessions across cross-functional teams
  • Support the growth and evolution of strategic marketing planning for Walmart Connect
  • Demonstrate a spirit of partnership, collaboration, and operational agility and excellence
  • Be proactive, self-motivated and highly driven


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Relevant bachelor's degree for this role. MBA or advanced-level academic degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience working cross-functionally in brand-side, digital advertising media, or performance marketing
  • Relevant experience in creating strategic, cross-media solutions
  • Creative marketer with the ability to conceptualize new ideas and new ways of working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly collaborative, team player, strong influencer and relationship builder
  • Strong understanding of publisher client relationships and framing


THE BONUS - STRONGLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Retail/e-commerce experience
  • Experience with commercial retail solutions such as Walmart Direct spend, experiential marketing, CRM, e-commerce, media, etc.
