The Boise Heart Institute clinicis looking to hire motivated and personableMedical Assistants for new providers and established cardiologists at our award winning and growing Heart Institute family!

***$1500 Sign-On Bonus Offered for this position to external candidates***

About these Positions:

These positions will help support surgeons, cardiologists, APP providers, PAs, and NPs in General Cardiology and a variety of sub-specialties such as Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic, Women's Health, and post chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

These positions will perform rooming, vitals, chart prep, lots of EKGs, placing heart monitors, and collecting patient medical history information, medication review, prior authorizations, and patient calls. Cardiac medication knowledge is a plus!

An ideal candidatefor these positions likes to be challenged, is driven, and has strong critical thinking skills. You will also enjoy developing relationships with physicians and patients. The ideal candidate will also have experience with obtaining manual blood pressures, EKG placement, and rhythm knowledge is a plus. If this sounds like a great fit for you, please read more!

Work Schedule: These positions will work either 4 - 10 hour days, or 5 - 8 hour days, during the week, Monday - Friday.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
    • American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)
    • American Medical Technologists (RMA)
    • National Healthcare Association (CCMA)
    • National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)
    • American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire

General Requirements:
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.
  • Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
