Job Summary
The Loan Administration Analyst/Corporate Witness purpose is to: process requests for custodial documents (assignments of mortgage and endorsed notes), review and execute testimonial documents pertaining to Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Litigation, and to represent the bank as a witness for litigated matters at trials and depositions to avoid monetary loss and reputational risks associated with mortgage loan servicing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process collateral document requests, including handling and tracking original loan collateral.
  • Review and execution of documents pertaining to Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Litigation specifically Affidavits, Complaints, Declarations and Certifications.
  • Acting as a corporate witness at trials and depositions for litigated matters, representing Foreclosure and Bankruptcy departments and processes. Leveraging in-depth system knowledge to interpret underlying facts in support of cases pending against the Bank.
  • Collaborating and communicating with default team, Attorneys, Record Custodians and other internal teams, to assist in the continued development of a best in class default servicing oversight operation
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adhere to Flagstar's internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Job Requirements:
  • HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent required
  • Bachelors in Business Administration preferred
  • Corporate Witness experience; Title; Legal preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Foreclosure, Bankruptcy and Corporate Witness field with detailed understanding of banking specifically default servicing
  • Strong understanding of best practices in Mortgage Banking industry-wide Servicing Operations (end-to-end) as well as regulatory expectations
  • Ability to effectively present information to all levels within the organization from executive management to front line employees
  • Minimum 4 years experience in servicing systems, preference to Black Knight Servicing Systems
  • Understanding of real property title, legal documents related to property, and contracts
  • Strong communication, client service and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate policies and procedures with clarity to Judges and Attorneys involved in trials/depositions
  • Ability to travel 10 of the time
  • Experience with Mortgage Servicing Software (including MSP and LPS Desktop)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills including Excel
  • The job requires a moderate degree of physical exertion and stamina such as standing, sitting, walking, driving or infrequent lifting (when traveling).
