With Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, you'll serve the over 50 rural communities in the Yukon Delta Region who come to us for care. Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.

Position Summary: Collect lab specimens and perform basic laboratory tests and reporting of results.

Position Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum Experience: Successful completion of on the job training, including at least a course of study in Medical terminology or Anatomy and Physiology or similar related topics
  • License, Certification, Registration: ASCP Board of Registry Phlebotomy Technician certification, or equivalent national certification must be obtained within one year.
  • Equipment/Tools: General Lab equipment and maintenance
  • Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Work with computers and instrumentation.
