SUMMARY
The Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) is the Airline's Safety Assurance (SA) arm and is a component of the Safety Management System (SMS). The Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) Auditor will oversee and coordinate the performance of evaluations and audits of systems, processes, operations, stations, and facilities. This position will lead and perform evaluations of operational systems, objectives, risks, and controls, by reviewing and analyzing evidence, identifying, and documenting; hazards, ineffective controls, nonconformity findings and concerns ensuring the highest levels of operational safety and compliance with Amerijet International Airlines policies, procedures, and Federal Regulations (14CFR Part 5; AC 120-59B). The Sr. IEP Auditor reports directly to the Manager, Safety Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:
- Scheduling/planning audits timely.
- Preparing for each risk-based audits and evaluations through study of applicable regulations, guidance, and company processes.
- Notifying management and subject matter experts of impending audits and evaluations.
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections, risk-based audits, and evaluations.
- Performing ad hoc event- driven audits.
- Summarizing all results succinctly and accurately.
- Prioritizing findings through risk assessments.
- Reporting findings related to inspections, risk-based audits, and evaluations.
- Monitoring corrective actions, as related to findings, to completion.
- Recommending corrective action pursuant to findings.
- Supporting internal customers with the identification of corrective actions.
- Developing follow up plans to address effectiveness of corrective action and to ensure new risks have not been introduced.
- Maintaining records and data related to the IEP.
- Manage audit and evaluation data within repository.
- Providing quality checks of completed audits and evaluations for accuracy and completeness.
- Analyzing data through findings and deficiencies for root cause identification.
- Verifying the implementation of solutions and corrective action plans.
- Conducting quarterly oversight evaluations of operating departments.
- Preparing presentations and assist with investigations to identify solutions on issues as needed.
- Identifying trends and providing recommendations.
- Supporting the development of IEP audit criteria and processes.
- Assisting in the review and analysis of risk data for the determination of audit schedules.
- Assisting in the administration and documentation of the IEP process in the Safety manual.
- Supporting Safety department as required.
- Travelling as required to perform audits within the airline system.

QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
- Required, Bachelor's Degree in related field
- Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:- Must have working knowledge of SMS, DOD principles, and the FAA SAS DCTs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years' work experience in Aviation Maintenance, Flight Operations, Auditing, and Safety Management - Part 121 Operator.
- Root Cause Analysis
- Previous experience maintaining and enhancing corporate safety standards and safe operational practices.
- Research and writing skills for document/report preparation
SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
- Proficient in personal computer skills and Microsoft Office 365
- Proficient in analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 5 Rule (SMS) processes, airline operations, aviation safety and system safety fundamentals, standards and/or accident investigation process
- Knowledge of CFRs, OpSpecs, and FAA Order 8900. 1
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work both independently and as a team player
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience and working knowledge of operational technology applications
- Experience in working and communicating with multiple organizations concurrently
- Ability to research/understand operational requirements, policies, and procedures
- Ability to analyze, develop commonalities, and present data and information
TRAVEL- Some Travel may be required.
