JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Write with a consistent voice, following established style guides and templates, and industry standards.
• Provide and solicit feedback for improving documentation and writing processes.
• Research and verify technical information.

• Manage small scale projects according to strategic company initiates. This includes, but is not limited to planning, execution, monitoring and project close out.
• Learn and employ Lean Manufacturing techniques and actively engage other Team Members throughout the company to further develop a continuous improvement culture.
• Create and maintain BOM's and work instructions that accurately reflect processes.
• Initiate and manage changes through the EC (Engineering Change) system.
• Work with Engineering and Aftermarket departments to make sure of accuracy, quality, clarity, and effectiveness of manuals.

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to extract information from interviews, technical documents, and hands-on work and convert it to the appropriate level for the intended audience.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level currently in good academic standing and enrolled in an accredited Engineering or Scientific and Technical Communication program.
• Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
• Able to interpret basic Engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of simple electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics is preferred.
• Possess basic knowledge of the safe operation and application of mechanical and fabrication tools and machinery.

• Must possess strong computer skills including the familiarity with Adobe Suite, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.

• A basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles is a plus.
