We have an excellent opportunity for an Installer / Technician in our Mountain Top, PA manufacturing location.

 Responsibilities/Principal Duties:

  • This position is for an Installer/Technician to install and repair, and provide training and assistance to dealers with rolling steel and sectional doors throughout the US. 
  • Extensive travel is required.  Most projects are a minimum of one week and some require two weeks for completion.
  • Installer is responsible for multiple tasks involving the take down of used commercial doors and operators as well as the installation of new doors, operators and equipment. 
  • Willingness to have flexible schedule to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Complete installations and repairs using knowledge of construction processes and mechanical ability.
  • Ensure that the product is installed properly and on time.
  • Extensive travel required to installation and repair sites.  Most jobs require technician to be away from home for 1 week at a time. Some will require 2 weeks.
  • Prompt completion of job reports and expense reports on a weekly basis.  A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and some computer skills are required.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues.  Must have good mechanical ability.  Must be able to think outside the box.


Qualified candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • At least 1-year related installation experience

  • Basic math skills required. Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

  • Ability to read a tape measure and convert nominal measurements
    Need general electrical, mechanical & construction knowledge

  • Must have valid DL

  • Education: H.S. diploma, GED required

  • Need personal handheld tools

  • Must be able to operate power tools.  Construction background is a major plus.  Must know how to operate a scissor lift.  Forklift experience is a big plus.
  • Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and customers.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Willingness to learn product and processes.

  • Basic computer skills required
