Job Summary:

The IT (Information Technology) Intern is responsible for modernizing the ERP Documentation for users. The successful candidate will work closely with the logistics teams to have their process flows and step by step instructions fully operational and actively used and referred to by local sites' users by the completion of the 12-week internship. This involves interviewing business and IT users to understand their pain points regarding using the system, accessing documentation and training programs. The intern will create the Key Performance Indicator regarding the optimal usage of this documentation framework. They will identify and co-create modern and value-added Macola ERP Support materials in 2022, and post-covid world with some users working onsite and remote. By the completion of this internship, the successful candidate will define a Materials' Life Cycle and create a Framework of documents, flow charts, user instructions as well as training programs for the Technetics Macola ERP. This includes working with various Technetics sites' sites using Macola (including US locations and Singapore), business key users and the Business Solutions Analysts.

Combine communication and coordination of various ERP stakeholders with a basic understanding of what department/people are responsible for their own business processes, systems, and industry requirements.

Listen to users to understand business needs and find solutions that meet both those needs and IT requirements.

Takes responsibility for polling users about their current ERP knowledge access pain points, capturing and analyzing their feedback to diagnose and specify effective solutions for knowledge management.

Define what are modern and useful documentation materials, in 2022, and in a post-Covid era, with some users working in a fully remote environment.

Define where the best location is for documentation and training materials to be housed to provide quick access for end users.

Establish a Responsibility Matrix of roles that will be involved in the materials' Life Cycle and initiate their modernization, involving the key stakeholders in the process' needed parties

Work with various business functions to create high level process flow charts.

Apply available standards, methods, and tools in an intelligent and effective way to produce a consistently high standard of technical and descriptive documentation.

Train, and coach employees in understanding how to use and improve business and system process documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to learn and work within an ERP system
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • This position requires a minimum 2 years of university with a major in IT

Preferred Requirements:

  • Real-life or coursework in a manufacturing environment or business processes
  • Preferred ERP first exposure or experience
  • Knowledge of Office Tools including Charts and Diagrams

  • General computer skills (Technical documentation, Database knowledge)
