Description:

Columbia Forest Products is looking for an experienced Human Resource Development & Recruiting Coordinator. This is an opportunity to be an employee owner for the premier North American supplier of decorative hardwood veneer and plywood. Columbia is an environmentally responsible industry innovator. The successful candidate should have 3 to 5 years human resource generalist experience in a manufacturing organization. The HRD Coordinator will be responsible for leading our operational leadership development and qualification process (LQP), support leader recruitment, and support our D,E, & I initiatives. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources and Development.

  • Responsible for the “People Value Stream” which includes recruiting, engaging, developing, and inspiring employee owners. FOCUS ON IMPROVING EMPLOYEE STABILITY thru Development and Recruiting.
  • Responsible for driving process improvement within the HR processes using the problem-solving principles of the Columbia Way
  • Creates and nurtures strong working relationships with all Employee groups
  • Ensures high level standard work is followed and improved upon for the following:
    • Leadership Qualification Process
    • Leader Recruiting and Orientation
  • Works effectively with other CFP locations in order to learn and share best practices across the company to continue building a culture that is our competitive advantage.
  • UPDATES AND MAINTAINS TRAINING/DEVELOPMENT RECORDS
  • WORKS AS A COACH AND RESOURCE FOR JOB RELATIONS COUNSELING AND MEDIATION REGARDING PERFORMANCE MGT
  • CHAMPIONS EFFORTS FOR DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION SO THAT ALL EMPLOYEE OWNERS HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BELONG
  • OTHER PROJECTS AS DEEMED NECESSARY TO MEET CFP’S MISSION/PURPOSE
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

4 year degree and 3 to 5 years’ experience in Human Resources preferred.
