Responsibilities of the HR/Payroll Analyst may include but are not limited to:
• Accurate processing and balancing of weekly payroll, including detailed reports
• Timely and accurate preparation and filing of weekly, monthly and yearly payroll-related taxes, reports and statements
• Ensuring compliance to all payroll and employment tax laws and regulations
• Analysis of departmental costs and procedures to ensure consistent, fair and effective pay practices
• Assisting with accounting processes including preparation of tax schedules and financial reports, as well as cross training in various HR and Accounting functions
• Possess strong level of discretion to manage confidential information
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of applicable payroll experience
• No immediate family members employed at Nucor Steel Kankakee
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1+ year previous experience with SuccessFactors and/or a payroll software
• 2+ year experience in an HR, Accounting or similar role
• 1+ year experience with payroll taxes
• 2+ years' experience administering payroll for 300+ employees
