GameStop is looking for a dynamic HR Business Partner to support our Guest Care (Customer Service Team). We are scaling our operations to support exciting changes happening in our business!

The HR Business Partner is both a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to managers and leaders. You will work closely with HR and leaders in Guest Care in the following areas: Talent Acquisition, employee relations, investigations & related activities, policy compliance, and employee engagement.

What will I do?

  • Be the designated HR point of contact for Customer Service and employees.
  • Advise, mentor, coach and guide all levels of management to develop positive employee engagement and leadership skills.
  • Support recruitment to staff in a fast growth environment to ensure business objectives can be met in the short and long term.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR Team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build an onboarding & orientation experience for new hires that will engage new hires from the start.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Build credibility and trust among management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation. Identify training needs for assigned business units.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What do I need?

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field, human resources, operational leadership, organizational development, or other discipline.
  • 5+ years of HR Business Partner experience required.
  • Experience working in multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity & inclusion, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Demonstrated success and willingness to manage multiple priorities and a high-volume workload that ranges from strategic to tactical in ambiguous and high growth environments.
  • Experience successfully monitoring the "pulse" of the organization to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to drive programs independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced, growth environment.
  • Excellent self-management, interpersonal skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
