Overview

The Frontier Reconciliation Analyst is a member of the IT Systems Integration Team. This position supports GL reconciliation efforts utilizing Fiserv's Frontier Reconciliation software as the tool to handle all transaction and balance reconciliation for the Balance Sheet accounts and related GL's. The primary responsibility is to serve as the subject matter expert and business liaison, as well as design and support the reconcilement processes and tools for any internal DDA and General Ledger account reconcilements under the Global Internal Reconcilement's and Control footprint (GIRC).

Responsibilities

  • Business liaison/business analyst for a variety of internal lines of business to ensure minimal impact to existing reconcilement processes and define reconciliation requirements and needs
  • Design/implement new reconcilement processes within the Frontier Reconciliation framework to integrate data from the G/L system (Prologue), Core (Fiserv DNA), and other systems as necessary such as FedWire, Alkami, and other GL accounts
  • Document procedures, processes, effectively test and document results of new reconciliation processes
  • Responsible for full automation of the reconciliation lifecycle utilizing Frontier Reconciliation
  • Supports the internal infrastructure of GIRC s reconcilement process/platform such as reconcilement procedures, policy/governance interpretation, and process improvements
  • Proactively identify areas for efficiency and automation
  • Provide guidance to all lines of business on reconciliation best practices
  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of financial sensitive information and maintain the technical mechanisms of legitimate access and release of the data to meet the requirements of the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA)
  • Supports production operations, which may result in support or activities after normal business hours
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years' work experience with complex software processes and application configuration
  • Previous experience in tools that support accounting or finance
  • Demonstrated understanding of the accounting reconciliation process
  • Must excel at business partnering and communication
  • Demonstrate flexibility and commitment to business partner satisfaction, quality, accuracy and teamwork
  • Intermediate PC skills including the Microsoft product set, MS Excel and MS Word
  • Must have a broad understanding of accounting controls/flows, reconcilement processes/tools and banking operations/BAC applications
  • Excellent verbal and time management skills
  • Excellent written communication skills, ability to produce detailed process and procedure documentation
  • Strong member service orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience working with Fiserv Frontier Reconciliation or similar software
  • Business analyst experience
  • Experience performing GL reconciliations
  • Scripting and general programming experience
  • Experience working in the financial services industry within an Information Technology environment
