First Pilot 

Location:  Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Operate company aircraft as Second-in-Command (SIC) or co-pilot. First Officers are responsible for assisting the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) operate the aircraft in a safe manner and execute domestic and international trips efficiently and effectively. First Officers must comply with all federal, state, local and foreign regulations, as well as the policies and procedures specified by the company. First Officers represent Kohler Co. and must be attentive and focused on passengers' needs, comfort, and safety.

Specific Responsibilities

First Officers are responsible for safely performing the duties and responsibilities of a SIC in addition to the following:

  •  Complying with flight schedules, standard operating procedures, regulations, and directives to operate the aircraft safely
  • Liaising with PIC and passengers, if necessary, to ensure:
    • Trip and flight manifests are correct and filled out accordingly
    • Aircraft are clean and properly stocked with the requisite provisions, amenities, and equipment for passenger comfort, enjoyment, and safety
    • Special meal or catering requests are accommodated
    • Passenger ground transportation needs have been met
  • Communicating with passengers during a trip regarding weather, route of flight, possible delays, turbulence, etc. to maximize passenger comfort and safety and execute an efficient, effective trip
  • Assisting PIC with domestic and international trip planning and flight risk assessments and recommending appropriate actions to mitigate or avoid unnecessary risks
  • Assisting Director of Aviation and Chief Pilot with office and administrative tasks necessary for the smooth, effective, and efficient operation of a global Fortune 500 flight department

Skills/Requirements

Must possess or be:

  • Commercial Pilot Certificate, multi-engine and single-engine land
  • First-Class FAA Medical Certificate
  • Type rating(s) as specified by the Chief Pilot
  • A high school graduate

Should possess or be:

  • A college graduate, advanced degree highly preferred
  • International flying experience
  • Minimum of six (6) years industry experience as a commercial, airline, or corporate pilot
  •  The following minimum flight time:
  • 2000 hours flight time
  • 500 hours SIC time
  • 300 hours turbine time
  • 300 hours multi-engine time
  • 300 hours turbine SIC time
  • 100 hours night-time                                               
  • 100 hours instrument time

Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
