Description: Our client is currently seeking a Electrical Hardware Engineer
Qualifications & Requirements:
Mandatory:

BA/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, a related field or equivalent practical experience Minimum 7 years of experience. Experience with relevant electronics development standards such as IPC-2221B. Experience with high speed design, signal integrity and power distribution techniques. Experience in board design, validation using Altium (e.g. schematic capture, layout tools, lab bring up and debug). Experience with board stackup selection (12+ layers) for high current, high temperature and high speed designs. Experience capturing complex mechatronics requirements defined by robotics hardware objectives (e.g. weight and size limitations, cable routing, vibrations...). Able to handle need-to-know and confidential information. Able to travel to client facility in the Bay Area, New York or London to support board bring up, integration and debugging. Comfortable using G Suite (Drive, Gmail...)

Desired/Nice to have Skills (not required):

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Demonstrated experience in microcontroller architecture, mechatronics design, power, board design, signal integrity etc. Experience collecting and organizing details to reproduce and explain results. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. Familiarity with U.S. export control laws. Experience with ARM Cortex-M architecture. Experience with JTAG debugging. Experience with thermal simulation of PCBAs. Experience with CAN, EtherCAT, Ethernet and/or other fieldbuses. C, C++ and/or Python programming skills. Experience with designs including PCIe interfaces. Comfortable using common Linux environments (e.g. Debian/Ubuntu).
