Director, Special Projects - Growth

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Director of Special Projects is responsible for working with operators and external stakeholders to develop and execute growth initiatives to grow DaVita's revenue and identify new processes to scale. In this role, you will report to the Vice President, Patient Support and Insurance, located in Denver, CO, and be a key member of the leadership team to lead the strategy of a $12B business and operations of almost 3,000 dialysis clinics serving 200,000 patients across the country.

The Director of Special Projects interfaces with diverse functional lanes and external stakeholders to ensure revenue-maximizing processes and strategies are developed and executed. The role has a high level of visibility with senior leadership given the strategic and collaborative nature of the work, the requirement to work cross-functionally, required change management, and overall ability to impact the bottom line.

Position has full supervisory responsibility for recruitment, retention, hiring, professional development, performance review, succession planning, disciplinary action, and termination for all direct reports.

  • Prepare executive-level presentations to share with all levels of leadership
  • Synthesize numerous analyses, translate into specific actions, and gain buy-in to execute

  • Challenge status quo operations to identify and implement transformative change
  • Full life cycle of process development: define gaps between current state and optimal state, determine needs to overcome gap, and execute to achieve optimal state
  • Bias to action even with imperfect information

Minimum qualifications

  • BA required; MBA or advanced degree (MHA, MPH, MD, PhD) preferred
  • Strategy consulting or other similar strategy development experience preferred
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Healthcare experience a plus but not required

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown. 100,100.00-147,000.00
