The Director of Trade Marketing will be the driving force behind the beauty division's holistic go-to-market strategies across key customers and retail eCommerce. This role will play a leadership role in leading the development of our beauty brand (Hot Tools, Revlon, Bed Head, and Gold n Hot) to create customer value and to develop sales fundamentals strategy, compelling tools for our core business, and innovations as well as drive retail execution.

Furthermore, you will partner closely with marketing and sales ensuring that you represent the customer voice within marketing and the brand voice/brand guardian within sales and with customers. In essence, ensure complete commercial alignment with business objectives and priorities. This role will require a depth of knowledge in sales and marketing and will need to bring strategic agility - unlocking the power of data/insights, strong influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

What you'll be doing:


  • Maximize insight/market trends to partner with sales to develop tailored solutions to drive growth for both the brand and the customer.

  • Use sales data, insights, etc. to understand market trends, identify new business opportunities and make category recommendations as well as develop a selling platform that enhances the retailer's value proposition.

  • Develop bespoke marketing promotional activities for key objectives. Establish KPI for channel and consumer promotions.

  • Provide cross-functional leadership to fast-track projects - new items, integrated programs, offers, and assortments.

  • Partner with retail, sales, and marketing to ensure new product launches and brand programs are communicated and implemented in-store and online.

  • Build presentations and sell-in decks for key customers. Serve as the primary point of contact and lead on buyer presentations.

  • Develop successful trade (brick & online) strategies that result in growth in market share and improve efficiency.

  • Evaluate go-to-market strategies, activation to evaluate Return-On-Investment, and develop new ways to optimize programs for future execution. Communicate and implement trade strategies with key retailers.
  • Segment retailers by importance to align resources, service level, and POS opportunities to drive efficiency. Effectively manage relationships between marketing and sales at all levels.

  • Partner leaders to develop and execute a cohesive plan that supports business objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional partners on all key activities that impact the delivery of tools and results.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and be the go-to sales/trade specialist for brand and brand knowledge lead for sales on programs and initiatives. - sharing takeaways, intel to support business

  • Provide excellent customer services (brand, sales, and retailer). Lead sales meetings, customer and brand planning sessions, brand, and NPD plans.

  • Build and manage a highly effective trade marketing organization by hiring, training, motivating, and setting leadership direction for all direct reports.



Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree in Business or related subject

  • 8 +Years in Trade Marketing/Sales/Brand Management/Category Management within Beauty.

  • 8+ Years' Mid/Senior Level Experience in Relevant Roles

  • Strong Understanding of Brand Management/Marketing in Mass and Prestige Retail Environment as Well as Ecommerce

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
