Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support due diligence needs for OAPI and its affiliates for Business development deals.
  • Lead cross-functional due diligence projects for opportunities identified as being of high interest and moved to advanced stage in the BD process.
  • Participate and lead negotiations and transactions as directed by deal principals of OAPI and its affiliates.
  • Complete post-deal transition, and advise Alliance Managers to onboard and manage new alliances.
  • Coordinate work with other members of the Global Business Development team as well as other relevant business units and/or corporate functions such as Alliance Management, Finance, Legal and Operations.
  • Manage special projects for Head of Business Development and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships across a broad sphere of influence, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel (Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada and Europe).


Minimum Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in business development and alliance management in the pharmaceutical industry, including:
    • Three (3) years of managing cross-functional due diligence projects for pharmaceutical products;
    • Two (2) years of deal negotiations in the pharmaceutical industry;
    • Two (2) years of alliance management for development and/or commercialization of pharmaceutical products; and
    • One (1) year of project management in the pharmaceutical industry.
