Studentfundraisersin the Digital Philanthropy Centerare a critical component to keeping open lines of communication with alumniand friends ofThe University of Cincinnati. Additionally,you'llraise thousands of dollars a year for scholarshipsandUCinitiatives.In this position you will call alumni and donors to solicit their support of UC. Working in our well-equipped call center, you'll receive the training and tools needed to be successful.

This position requires strong verbal communication skills, a problem-solving mentality, the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine desire to advance the mission ofthe University of Cincinnati. Working at theDigital Philanthropy Centeris an excellent opportunity to develop your communication, negotiation, and fundraising knowledge and expertisewhile networking with a wide variety of members of theBearcatfamily.

Specific Duties

• Serve as an ambassador forthe University of Cincinnatiby discussing Universityinitiatives, accolades, and accomplishments.
• Call constituents (alumniand friends) to build personal rapport, update
  demographic information, andsecure donationsto theFoundation.Use additional tools such as SMS, email and video to support your outreachefforts.
• Work with otherassociatesin a team-oriented environment to achieve goals.
• Commit to a minimum ofthree 3-hour shifts(out of six available shifts)per week. The shifttimes are Sunday 2:00to5:00p.m.and Sunday - Thursday 6:00to 9:00p.m.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled at UC Main Campus with an above average grade point
• Keen interest in fundraising with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to successfully completing tasks on time.
• Other duties, as assigned

Physical Demands

This position is considered to have sedentary work. Exerting up to 10lbs. of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position requires:

• Finger use

• Hearing
• Repetitive motion of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers

Work Environment
