ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of the Data Governance Analyst will be to work with Subject Matter Experts (SME) in multiple disciplines (Science, IT, Security etc...) to implement data governance standards within different teams by developing team specific processes that support the new the Data Governance Program. Responsibilities will be divided between data analysis and supporting teams.

Data Analysis:

• Helping interview and gather information on datasets with Subject Matter Experts to ensure it's classified, categorized etc....

• Help process datasets to ensure the data governance meta data is documented in the Data Catalog.

• Specifically understanding which data types are being shared between organizations.

Support:

• Triage datasets to help SMEs understand their data governance and compliance aspects.

• Triage and answer questions regarding Data Governance.

• Work with multiple cross-functional teams to implement processes.

• Setup & facilitate meetings as needed.

• Generate materials for broad audience like instructions, PowerPoint, etc...

Review documentation (SOPs, Procedures) and provide edits.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree is required. Preferred in science, information technology, security, agriculture, and/or compliance.
Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite tools especially Excel and Power Point for data analytics and communication.
