Position Overview

The Commercial Business Intelligence (CBI) team leverages a suite of data assets to enable and influence key solutions affecting all aspects of the Commercial organization. Serving as a hub of analysis connecting Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance and Commercial departments, CBI provides insights on marketing campaigns, sales process optimization and internal dynamics. As a member of CBI, you will be working with the most diverse datasets at NPD. This is an exciting opportunity for a person with both project management experience and skills using BI Tools. Using the latest BI tools and data visualization technologies coupled with analytical skills, you will bring to light the most interesting and influential opportunities for our internal stakeholders. You will help shape project scope, roadmaps/timelines, implementation and communication plans for all initiatives. While gathering business requirements and collaborating with stakeholders, you enjoy using BI tools to shape data into interesting stories. You will strive for reporting excellence, construct pragmatic solutions and leverage BI functionality to improve our stakeholder's analytical experience. The successful candidate must have a willingness to partner with key stakeholders to understand their needs, share constructive ideas, meet project deadlines, and offer proactive updates. Common visual solutions will include reporting in Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, PowerBI and more.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management to scope, plan, execute, and communicate the project assigned, including defining the goals, objectives, risks, schedule, roadmap updates and resource allocation for the project
  • Manage project delivery within pre-defined delivery goals balancing time, quality and resources
  • Lead project teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively execute, and or troubleshoot/diagnose project issues
  • Schedule and facilitate project review meetings for the purpose of updating status
  • Gathering requirements, designing, developing, and testing client reports
  • Pulling and manipulating data for optimal use in reports
  • Offering smart design recommendations
  • Follow analytical data best practices
  • Working in a highly collaborative environment with minimal supervision.
  • Managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Finding solutions to problems and demonstrating the abilities to set and meet reasonable deadlines.
  • Manage processes for generating data-intensive reports for both internal and external clients on time and according to standards.
  • Respond to internal inquiries and begin to make recommendations for presentations and analysis.

Qualifications
  • Project management experience
  • Strong math background or degree.
  • Demonstrate excellence or experience with PowerBI, Microsoft Office 365, Tableau and more.
  • Proficiency with ETL processes, data preparation, data blending and more.
  • Experience with SFDC is a plus
  • Ability to work in an agile work environment.
