Marsh Specialty - Construction Casualty Claims - Flexible location

Seeking an Insurance Claims professional to focus on Contractor claims program needs, currently working remotely. The successful candidate will aligned with our Construction group focusing on data, analytics and assessments related to Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) reduction and claim platform optimization. Through analytics, our casualty claims approach promotes higher conversion of brokerage appointments, identifies advisory opportunities to reduce and manage Total Cost of Risk and differentiates us from other Construction Brokers. Construction clients will also benefit materially from having a defined claims management and cost-of-risk reduction strategy utilizing a variety of post loss claim reduction methods and resources.

Description of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the construction of an overall assessment platform for construction project risk - and project profitability;
  • Assist in the identification of claim reduction and mitigation strategies for existing and potential Construction clients;
  • Analyze policies, procedures, loss data, and workflows to assist clients with casualty claims optimization;
  • Design claim risk reduction strategies based off Construction's TCoR assessment protocols,
  • Work in collaboration with Construction's analytics team to develop and use casualty analytics support tools, dashboards, and TCoR analytics tools;
  • Participate in Construction brokerage and consulting marketing activities;
  • Support claim consulting projects within Construction
  • Assist in the develop and execution of strategic client consulting plans within Construction;
  • Interact with other Construction Consulting team members, Business Development teams, Leadership, Account Executives, Producers, Brokers, other Marsh Specialty Business Units, Markets and Vendors.
Business Skills
  • General casualty claim and construction contractor claim consulting expertise;
  • Strong analytical background to analyze information, situations, and procedures;
  • General understanding of how to work with analytical teams and actuaries;
  • Ability to take data and create valuable insights - for external or internal stakeholders;
  • Ability to assess client processes as they relate to Claims Management and Brokering and develop strategies for improvement;
  • Comfortable interacting with Client's Senior Management, Risk Management, Treasury and "C" suite;
  • Comfortable in sales situations with a track record of success in business development situations;
  • Ability to meet deadlines while working in a team environment;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze data formulate written reports
Experience
  • 10+ years of casualty claims consulting and advocacy experience focused on reducing Total Cost of Risk;
  • Experience using analytics for marketing and sales;
  • Retail Broker, Insurance or Risk Management industry knowledge
