Position Summary

Responsible for management and implementation of the Quality Management Systems ISO 9001. Also responsible for Nuclear and Commercial QA activities with regard to specification and customer order review, process monitoring, and preparation of customer required data packages.
Essential Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Trains and becomes certified as an ISO Lead Auditor, accountable to management for ISO quality program.

Conducts internal audits for the ISO programs. Coordinates and trains personnel to become ISO auditors.

Conducts internal audits for the ISO programs, reviews audit results, approves the audit and submits results to relevant manager with required corrective actions.

Oversees the ISO program, including scheduling, reviewing and auditing of ISO procedures.

Reviews quotes from potential or existing customers for nuclear contracts to determine the company's ability to meet quality assurance specification requirements.

Coordinates customer, nuclear inspector, and production schedules in association with Materials and Manufacturing departments for witness of nuclear testing and other operations.

Reviews Nuclear customer orders, purchase orders, and shop orders for accuracy before implementation.

Prepares Nuclear data packages for completed products in accordance with customer requirements.

Assists the Nuclear QA Manager, in overseeing compliance to the QA Program for nuclear.

Acts in place of the Nuclear QA Manager for Nuclear Quality only as required

Reviews and approves supplier documentation for incoming material to assure it meets specification, QA program, and code requirements.

Develops inspection and test plans on new orders as specified by customer specifications.

Supports QA activities in the electronic storage and control of procedures, CMTR's, manuals and quality plans.

Serves as the primary administrator of the vDocware system in Lancaster. Responsibilities include updating data, changing statements, and making certification changes.

Completes Commercial Customer Certification packages when necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTING SKILLS

Ability to effectively utilize Word, Access, Power Point and Excel software and to navigate and use other custom applications software in a MS Windows environment.
