Company Payables Specialist - Roanoke, VA or Greensboro, NC

As a Company Payables Specialist, your exceptional organization skills and resourcefulness are key to the timely processing of company payables for the MMA Mid-Atlantic Region. A high school diploma is required and an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. You will possess working knowledge of accounts receivable and accounts payable principles, a minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience, along with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Relationship building skills along with effective oral and written communication skills are essential.

Here's how we define early success for the Company Payables Specialist:

• Compares company invoices to agency billings to identify any discrepancies
• Verifies proper documentation from carriers is received prior to issuing payment
• Answers questions and assists Account Managers.
• Records monthly journal entries as assigned by supervisor and other journal entries as needed into the agency management system,
• Supports Assistant Controller with annual audit by reconciling general ledger accounts as assigned.
• Performs monthly closing activities as assigned.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
