Responsibilities

How Will You Contribute to the Company?

Under minimal supervision, the Commissions Analyst will assist in the day-to-day operations of paying sales commissions to our global sales organization. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter who brings with them a preferred 2-3 years of experience calculating commissions as well as using Xactly Sales Compensation Tool. This position will also help forecast commissions, book monthly accruals, complete account reconciliations, and work on complex compensation plan modeling and costing.

What Will You Do?

  • Complete monthly calculations and review payments for accuracy for all sales commissions. Calculations include bonuses, spiffs, guarantees, and other incentive programs
  • Manage all aspects of Cradlepoint's sales incentive plans. This includes configuration in Xactly as well as modeling in Excel
  • Forecast commissions monthly using preliminary data and running through commission model
  • Prepare and book monthly commission accrual in accounting ERP system
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations
  • Set up and maintain all People records in Xactly. This requires cross function partnership with HR and Sales Operations to properly track and update new hires, terminations, pay changes, role changes, team changes, quota changes, guarantees, and spiff programs
  • Partner with Sales Operations to ensure sales billings credits are reported accurately and timely each month to meet critical monthly commission accrual and payout deadlines
  • Respond accordingly to compensation related questions from sales representative or people leaders
  • Update and maintain monthly reporting material for leadership for monthly commission review meeting. The packets include monthly, quarterly, and annual analytics related to sales compensation
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience with commission calculation and analysis
  • Preferred experience with Xactly Incent making configuration and coding modifications for compensation plan changes
  • Knowledge of financial processes involving month end accrual accounting, forecasting, compensation plan management and commission calculations
  • High degree of computer literacy and skills in specialized software related to department operations including ERP accounting system, database, spreadsheet, and word processing
  • Ability to prioritize and efficiently work through large Excel files
  • Experience building reports and dashboards in Xactly Analytics is preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to make presentations and respond to inquiries by senior management, and/or employees
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing work priorities and meet required deadline
  • Ability to act and operate independently and as part of a team with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees including team members, management, and sales representatives
