General Description

Gibbs & Cox (G&C) is looking for a combat system engineer with expertise working with naval weapons and combat system design, testing, and integration.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required and an active secret clearance.
  • BS or Advanced Degree in engineering or related discipline
  • Experience with design and integration of warfare systems. Developing and testing, and support for US Navy and combat systems.
  • Preferred experience working with Integrated Warfare Systems (IWS).
  • Effective reporting to customers, program governance, and other program stakeholders.
  • Experience working is dynamic programs with fluctuating scope and integrated coordination of multiple engineering disciplines and subcontractors.
  • Experience working with systems engineers and cross-functional technical leads to plan, organize and manage complex work.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10%.
  • 5+ years servicing NAVSEA or a comparable DoN or DoD programs.
  • Experience supporting US Navy shipbuilding programs
  • Experience with hardware/software integration and product development
  • Experience in autonomy and/or automation of major sub-systems on key platforms

Security Requirements

Applicant will be subject to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government. In addition to the security clearance, this position may require an additional background screening for base access.
