First Shift (United States of America)
Assesses patients' nutritional status; develops and implements nutrition care plan; provides consultation and recommendations on nutritional care for hospitalized and clinic patients; works with interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote patient care; provides nutrition instruction to patients, staff and community; participates in interdisciplinary activities, nutrition-related, staff and/or department projects; attends rounds and assists in quality assurance program initiatives; maintains credentialing.
Required Education and Experience
1. Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.2. Certified in the State of New York as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a nutritional services provider.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate should have a Master's degree in Dietetics and be certified in the State of New York as a Dietitian/Nutritionist. The preferred candidate should have 1 year of acute care hospital experience and nutrition support/counseling experience. In addition, the preferred candidate should have experience in Oncology and clinical experience with tube feeding and TPN/parenteral support.
