Description: Our client in Dallas has an immediate need for a Business Analyst/Data Governance Specialist to join their growing team! This is a long term contract opportunity with the possibility to convert to full time employment. **W2 only, no C2C**

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Understand current state of the data

2.Work with a cross-functional team to define a Data Governance roadmap

3.Policy management - Create effective policies and standards based on inputs to standardize our approach to data use, promote consistency and reduce risk of using data inappropriately.

4.Effectively documenting the data landscape and create awareness within the organization of what data exists and where it is sourced.

5.Implementing metadata management with a data governance framework to increase visibility into what data is available, where it's located, and what it means.

6.Drive data quality assurance and policy creation with business partners

7.Work with Global Privacy teams to understand requirements and implement required changes working with application owners

8.Continuously adjust and level set to ensure roadmap success, if course correction is needed, work with stakeholders to ensure a new course is set and that expectations are communicated

9.Work to ensure clear accountability for stewardship of our information assets via policy, procedures, and Assessments; record application and process owners, and require their approval on Assessments

10.Liaise with our product and development teams to ensure data governance requirements are included in product planning cycles

11.Work with our compliance teams to develop, update, and manage policies and procedures related to data governance

12.Define indicators of performance and key metrics to measure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements

13.Work with our security operations teams to implement controls to detect and/or prevent risks to our data
