Job Description Summary
Under limited supervision, the Business Administrator supports the Human Resources, Faculty Affairs, and Postdoctoral appointment processes of the Department of Physiology and the Pennsylvania Muscle Institute.
Job Description
Job Duties:
.Create and update salary grids for faculty staff, postdocs, and students.
.Process monthly payroll; check for accuracy using Business Object reports; update costing allocations and approve timesheets.
. Process postdoc appointments and reappointments; prepare letters and enter and update appointments in Workday.
.Prepare and process faculty recruitment, hiring, appointment, and reappointment, and sabbatical paperwork.
. Prepare visa paperwork and maintain system for ensuring compliance.
. Process job requisitions and hiring paperwork in Workday. Review job descriptions and serve as resource to faculty and staff on human resource matters.
. Process weekly and work-study payroll.
. Enter payroll reallocations.
. Review effort reports and enter cost share information.
. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies: must develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues throughout the Department, School of Medicine, and the University. Candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented. Must be able to work autonomously; multi task; meet critical simultaneous deadlines; prioritize; be customer service oriented; and be able to work effectively as a team member; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Workday and Business Objects experience preferred.

$43,919.00 - $66,183.00
Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
