The General Motors BrightDrop team is seeking customer-focused team members who have a passion for innovative technologies and approaches to business. Individuals will work collaboratively in agile teams to create concepts and start new ventures that solve personal and commercial mobility challenges.

The exponential growth of ecommerce coupled with increasing end customer demand for rapid delivery and an evolving regulatory environment present both an opportunity and challenge for logistics and other commercial companies, who currently don't have optimal solutions that meet their needs.
With this in mind, GM has established a new independent business, BrightDrop, to provide an innovative approach to enable the efficient, multimodal movement of goods through an integrated product suite.
We are looking for seasoned Client Solutions Account Executives to develop and execute commercial sales activities towards the achievement of profitability and growth for the entire product portfolio of electric vehicles and non-vehicle products & connected services in a fast-paced environment often associated with Silicon Valley start-ups. This is a unique opportunity to innovate and scale solutions that address the world's mobility challenges.

The position is based in the field, work-from-home or could be based in a BrightDrop office in MI, CA, GA or other locations across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build excellent relationships with BrightDrop customers that translate to customer purchases of BrightDrop products
  • Sell BrightDrop non-vehicle products and services B2B by translating product and service features into benefits that solve client needs; navigate BrightDrop vehicle product transactions through the unique BrightDrop dealer channel
  • Ensures that effective follow up is practiced on a timely basis
  • Customize pricing and/or incentives for each client and/or transaction
  • Support client in placing and tracking order status and delivery
  • Design and/or refine sales processes that will scale to support rapid growth coming from both organic sources and through acquisition of clients
  • Review major account plans, monitor and manage the sales pipeline, and track progress
  • Develop strong relationships at all levels in the client's organization and with Fleet Management Companies or financial entities and sales representatives
  • Communicate client requests (product, financial, design, etc.) to the appropriate department
  • Remain up-to-date regarding updates to products, services and processes
  • Attend and actively participate in industry meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments as appropriate

Additional Job Description

Requirements:
  • 3+ years of commercial sales and account management experience, preferably in start-up type environments
  • Capital asset sales experience/large dollar transactions
  • Experience building new customer base (conquest)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 50%-75%Travel required. Must be able to travel extensively; job requires frequent overnight travel throughout the month.

Compensation: The median level of salary compensation for this role is $109,283.

Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
