INTRODUCTION
The Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Connecticut in Storrs invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor within the Clinical Psychology program. We seek a candidate with a demonstrated scholarly interest in the etiology, course, or treatment of mental health conditions in diverse populations, as defined by characteristics such as race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, or ability. The ideal candidate will possess the commitment and qualifications to teach graduate clinical coursework related to cultural diversity.
The Clinical Program currently includes 11 full-time faculty and offers specialized training in developmental psychopathology, neuropsychology, behavioral health. The program has a strong track record of publications and grants, attracting top graduate students from diverse backgrounds, engaging undergraduates in clinical research, and effectively teaching large and small courses.
The Psychological Sciences Department includes Ph.D. programs in Behavioral Neuroscience, Clinical, Developmental, Ecological, I/0, Language and Cognition, and Social Psychology, as well as several areas of inter-program collaboration including Diversity Science. There are currently 58 full-time faculty and 130 full-time doctoral students. The department and university have a commitment to pursuing inclusive excellence. Opportunities exist for the candidate to affiliate with one of UConn's institutes (e.g., El Instituto, Africana Studies, Asian and Asian American Studies Institute, Human Rights Institute, Institute for Collaborative on Health, Intervention, and Prevention) depending on their area of expertise.
