Level I:

  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Basic shop skills.
  • Understanding blueprints/ drawings in a sufficient manner to complete assemblies.
  • Torque training (Wabtec Learning).
  • Blind riveting (Wabtec Learning).
  • Understanding and follow of all PPE and safety protocols
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Use drawing and Bill of Material to properly assemble sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
  • Basic shop labor and VKS navigation. (Mentor to perform the training)

Level II:
  • All level 1 requirements.
  • IPC certification.
  • Solder training (Wabtec learning)
  • Oracle navigation. (workshop)
  • Trained and qualified in two special processes (braze, weld, bonding, ESD, Forklift, Crane, etc.)
  • Follows and understands 5S techniques. (Intro to lean Gemba academy & quiz)
  • Adjust components as needed and certify quality of assembly or sub-assembly.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs. (Filling in manufacturing report)
  • Efficiently complete tasks that have been assigned.
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot minor issues encountered during assembly process.
  • Ability to perform routine test procedures.
  • Hipot qualification.

Level III:
  • All level 1&2 requirements.
  • Trained and qualified in three special processes (braze, weld, bonding, ESD, Forklift, Crane, etc.)
  • Ability to perform Routine Test Procedures
  • Certified as Hipot auditor / trainer.
  • Ability to work in all department areas.
  • Ability to understand and implement lean concepts. (Gemba academy)
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot moderate issues encountered during the production process.

Level IV:
  • All level 1,2&3 requirements met.
  • Sufficiently cross-trained across all production departments.
• Trained and qualified in all special processes
