We are seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join our team.

The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and service to our loyal patients and clients. We deliver the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets during their absence.

We're looking for a personable yet highly professional "service extraordinaire" to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to their boarded and hospitalized pets.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Dependable attendance is required.
  • This position will require weekday and weekend shifts as well as holidays.
  • Daily cleaning, disinfecting and sanitation of kennel area, cages, yard, and hospital.
  • Cleaning and maintaining animal kennels / cages, hospital building and premises.
  • Feeding and caring for dogs, cats and some small exotic mammals (rabbits, ferrets, hedgehogs) according to specific regimens.
  • Walking, bathing, and caring for all patients inside the hospital.
  • Laundry, housekeeping, and basic maintenance of the hospital.
  • Assisting Doctors and Technicians when necessary.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work in an ever-changing environment.
  • Common sense, compassion, and desire to learn.
  • Critical thinking & Multi-tasking.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, and a team-player.
  • Ability to life 40 lbs.
  • Willing to work long, irregular hours.
  • Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day.
  • Honesty, Integrity, and a positive attitude.
  • Good computer knowledge
  • Ideal candidate would have a team player mentality and be willing to cross train in every department of the hospital.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • Experience with animals recommended.
  • Experience in the Animal Health Care field is recommended, but we can train the right individual.

Salary

Starting at $15.00/hr

Our Hours of Operation

Monday through Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

Sundays: Closed

Anticipated Work Schedule

  • The ideal candidate would have open availability with scheduling.
  • Weekend availability on Saturday & Sunday are a requirement for this position
  • Holidays are a requirement for this position.
