The Carlyle Group seeks to hire an Analyst within the Global Credit Investor Relations team. Working within the Credit Sales Group, the position will primarily support Credit Sales professionals in developing detailed, strategic marketing plans by client and product. The position will support the life cycle of a sale (from planning to closing). In addition, this position will work with the Head of Credit Investor Relations on business planning and analytics. Finally, the position will periodically assist the Credit Product Specialists with responding to investor requests as needed. Interaction with limited partners and potential investors will be required to complete various assignments. This successful candidate must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.

Qualifications
Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA
Professional Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience required
  • Experience in investor relations at a private credit investment firm, a private credit placement firm, or a consultant is preferred
  • A strong understanding of financial markets and experience with private credit strategies
  • Excellent computer skills, including ability to learn and become the subject matter expert in the systems used to respond to investor and Credit Specialist requests
  • Self-Starter, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented; attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
Position-specific Technical Requirements
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (including Excel and PowerPoint) skills required
  • CRM system including DealCloud is preferred
  • Ability to quickly develop competency in manipulating various reporting platforms and systems to obtain usable LP data

Key Duties/
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:
  • Investor Meetings and Events, assist with onsite investor meetings and conferences by:
    • Creating and distributing pre-meeting briefings to meeting participants
    • Coordinating with presenters from other business units
    • Distributing marketing and other relevant materials
    • Attending meetings, preparing draft meeting notes for upload to DealCloud, and following up on investor requests.
    • Periodically performing the above listed tasks in an investor facing capacity representing Carlyle in a professional manner
    • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with IRPs, Fund Management and Legal
    • Support Carlyle's Compliance objectives by liaising with the Legal and Compliance Department.
  • CRM Maintenance:
    • Working closely with Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) on developing prospect lists, outreach to prospects, organizing meetings, running NDA processes, attending meetings, writing up notes and posting to DealCloud, and helping to coordinate investor prospect follow ups
    • Monitoring the welcome-email process for data rooms in coordination with Fund Management
    • Serve as point person on DealCloud and continue its build out and reporting function for senior management
    • Utilize DealCloud to coordinate large scale prospecting (e.g. adding contacts to campaign)
    • Ad hoc requests (e.g. Pulling list of investors for a specific fund etc.)
  • Credit IRP Support
    • Working with IRPs to develop marketing plans by investment and product. Leverage market research from Preqin and other sources
    • Addressing investor requests and coordinating with IRM to ensure clients are receiving timely and accurate responses to questions
    • Running data room reports (which LPs have accessed the data room; which LPs have downloaded documents etc.)
    • Organizing and executing the many aspects required to launch a new credit fund to internal constituents and external investors
    • Coordinating amongst the Credit IRPs, PE IRPs, and Credit IRMs, to aggregate target lists, organize client outreach and follow up, and categorize investor interest for presentation to Funds Heads and Senior Management
    • Ad-hoc requests (find an email address; find the date of a conference, presentation materials)
  • Marketing Materials
    • Uploading flipbooks (& other materials as appropriate) to One Carlyle
    • Coordinating process with Fund Management to upload necessary materials to data room
    • Ad hoc requests (e.g. add disclosures to a deck etc.)
